I'm in "Event Mode"

Tis the night before the night before the wedding - a client's of course!  I'm reviewing my lists and checking them twice. No matter how many months I spend working on an event of any kind the last few days, hours, and minutes are filled with items to be done and tend to keep me up at night.  This is what I call my "event mode"! My clients put their trust in me to make sure that every "T" is crossed and every "I" is dotted which can be stressful at times - but also amazing!

What is "event mode" you ask? I can only explain it as tunnel vision or complete focus. For the next 48 hours my every waking moment will be dedicated to my clients.  My goal is to think of what they need before they need it, to over deliver in every which way I can! You know my tag line right? Be a guest at your event. That's how i do it! So if you see me this weekend and I stop to say a quick hello and then run away, or you send me an email and I don't respond,  don't take it personally I would it for you too!

Let the planning begin!

Over the past few weeks I have run into a ton of people who have said - "Wow being an Event Manager must be amazing?!"  Well, it really is!  I love what I do and I love the fact that every day is different and challenging.

It's not always glamorous though!  I've spent many a day in front of the computer researching, calculating, and creating lists, lists and more lists.  The fun stuff happens mainly on the day of the event and that could take months of planning.

So I thought I would start this blog to give you the inside scoop of what an Event Manager really does on a day to day basis. Are you ready? I am!
